What Are the Driver Requirements for USA and International Licence Holders?
To subscribe to a Roam vehicle with a USA or international licence, you must be at least 23 years old with a clean driving record. USA holders must provide a DMV driving record and proof of credit history. International holders must provide a 3-year driving record and proof of previous insurance coverage, both from the country where their licence was issued.

- Must have no major driving violations, suspensions, or infractions within the last 3 years
- Must have no major criminal convictions or moving violations within the last 3 years
- Must have a valid licence
Required Documents for International Drivers
International drivers must provide:
- A 3-year driving record or licence record from the country where the licence was issued
- Proof of previous insurance coverage or experience — Roam requires a minimum of 1 year of experience on an active or previous car insurance policy, with details of claims or proof of no claims
Both documents must be issued from the same country where your driver's licence originates.
