Plan Enrollment Fees
Understand how Roam's plan enrollment fees work and how they can lower your weekly or monthly vehicle payment.
How Do Plan Enrollment Fees Work?
A plan enrollment fee is a one-time, non-refundable upfront payment that lowers your ongoing weekly or monthly cost on a Long-Term plan. The higher the enrollment fee, the lower your regular payment. Think of it like a gym initiation fee — it doesn't apply toward your monthly bill, it offsets vehicle costs upfront.
Enrollment fees are available on Long-Term plans only and are non-refundable.
You're Never Locked Into a Contract
Every Roam Long-Term plan has a 30-day minimum commitment, and you can cancel anytime after that with proper notice and no penalty. Regardless of the enrollment fee you choose, you're never locked into a long-term contract — all Roam plans are month-to-month. That's what makes Roam so flexible.
When Does an Enrollment Fee Make Sense?
A plan enrollment fee is worth paying if you:
- Want a vehicle for more than a couple of months
- Want a lower weekly or monthly rate
- Prefer auto-renewing weekly or 30-day payments
- Still want the flexibility to cancel anytime after your first 30 days
Which Enrollment Fee Is Best for Me?
Pick the range that matches roughly how long you expect to drive:
| Driving Duration | Recommended Enrollment Fee |
|---|---|
| A few months | $0 – $500 |
| Seasonal | $500 – $1,000 |
| Long-term driving | $1,000 – $2,500 |
