How Do Vehicle Swaps Work?
Roam allows you to swap your vehicle during your subscription. Short-Term plan holders can upgrade vehicle class at no extra cost, while Long-Term plan holders get one swap every 30 days at renewal. Swaps initiated by Roam for maintenance reasons have no cost to the driver. Early or downgrade swaps may incur a $250+HST fee.

How Are Payments Adjusted?
Our billing team ensures rate adjustments as needed when your vehicle changes. You'll receive a swap agreement and confirmation email documenting your new changes.
How to Prepare for Your Swap
- Remove any personal belongings
- Fill the gas tank back up to the original level from activation day
- Ensure the exterior is clean to allow for a proper damage assessment
- Ensure the interior is clean to prevent deep-cleaning fees
- Empty any discardable items beforehand
Does My Mileage Carry Over?
Yes. Once you've swapped vehicles, the billing team provides your mileage used and remaining after the inspection is completed. Processing typically takes up to one business day.
